Low-iron or standard float?
Standard float glass is fine
This colour is dark enough to swallow the green cast of standard float glass: on the wall, the two base glasses read the same. Standard 6mm toughened float is the sensible specification here, and the low-iron premium buys almost nothing. Spend it on a sample instead.
How a painted splashback is made
6mm glass, toughened for the heat behind a hob, with the sockets and the hob notch cut before toughening, then painted on the back so the colour sits behind a glass surface that wipes clean. The colour you see is the paint through the glass, which is why the base glass matters and why the surface is always gloss.

Does RAL 6009 Fir green need low-iron glass?
No. Fir green is dark enough that the green cast of standard float glass is lost in it, so standard 6mm toughened float is the sensible choice and low-iron adds cost for no visible gain.
