Each price is for one piece of 6mm toughened glass at that size, with arrised edges, inc. VAT at 20% (the ex-VAT figure is underneath). Cut-outs for sockets, the colour and delivery are added in the configurator.

What moves the price
The five things that decide a splashback's cost

Area
The glass is charged per square metre, so a full run costs more than a hob panel, but proportionally less: small pieces are lifted to a minimum charge.

Glass type
Clear float has a faint green edge tint; low-iron glass has none, so whites and pale colours read true. Low-iron carries a higher rate per square metre.

Toughening
Every splashback is toughened for the heat behind a hob. It is a per-piece surcharge and it is already inside every price on this page.

Cut-outs and notches
Sockets, switches and a hob notch are each a fixed amount, finished before toughening. Give the centres from your electrician's plan.

Colour, delivery and fitting
The RAL colour does not change the price. Delivery is by zone at checkout, collection is free, and fitting is a separate service line.

How much does a glass splashback cost per square metre?
The table above is priced from our live rate card for 6mm toughened glass, the thickness a splashback is made in. Divide any cell by its area for the effective rate, and remember a small piece may be lifted to the minimum charge, so the hob size costs more per square metre than the full run.
Why must a splashback be toughened?
Heat. A hob throws enough heat at the wall behind it to crack ordinary annealed glass; toughened glass takes the thermal shock and, if it ever breaks, crumbles rather than shards. Every splashback we make is toughened, which is why the toughening surcharge is already inside every price on this page.
Does the colour change the price?
No. A back-painted splashback is priced as its glass type; the RAL colour you choose in the configurator is not a price line. Low-iron glass costs more than clear because it has no green tint, so pale and white colours read true through it.
What about socket cut-outs and the hob notch?
Each cut-out is a fixed amount added in the configurator, priced before toughening because every hole and notch has to be finished first. Position them from your electrician's socket centres; the measuring pack shows how to record them.
Is fitting or delivery included?
No. The prices are for the glass, collected from the branch. Delivery is priced by zone at checkout, and fitting is a separate service line you can add if you want us to install it.
