Is the calculator's price the real price?
Yes. It posts your glass, thickness and size to the same pricing engine the checkout charges from, so the figure matches what you would pay for that piece to the penny. Prices are shown inc. VAT at 20%, with the ex-VAT figure beside them.
What is not in the calculator's price?
Holes, cut-outs, shaped corners, polished or bevelled edges and delivery. Each is a fixed amount added in the configurator, which shows them line by line; open it from the button under the price and the same piece carries across.
Why can I only pick certain thicknesses?
The thickness list is read from our live price book for the glass you chose, so it only ever offers combinations we actually stock and can cut. If a thickness is missing for a glass type, we do not sell that combination online.
Does toughened cost more?
Yes, a per-piece surcharge, and the box on the calculator shows exactly how much when you tick it. Toughened glass is required by Approved Document K in doors, low-level glazing and bathrooms; our safety glass checker tells you whether your location needs it.
Can trade customers use this?
Yes. Approved trade accounts see their own rates everywhere on the site once signed in, including this calculator. Anyone else sees our retail list price.
